TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ICU/Critical Care RN in Bossier City, Louisiana, 71111 About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse - ICU Job Specialty: SICU Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-Hour Nights Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: 2 years required License: LA License Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Stroke experience - Ventilator management - Assist with intubation/extubation - CVL management/placement - Foley catheter management - Tube feedings via NGT or PEG Job Description: - Care for patients with conditions such as respiratory failure, stroke, sepsis, renal failure, diabetes, and neuro-related surgeries. - Manage a patient ratio of 1:2. - Required to pass an EKG competency exam as part of compliance, prior to arrival. - Support resources include charge nurse, resource nurse, and 24/7 RT. - Utilize Meditech Expanse for electronic medical records, Alaris for IV pumps, and Pyxis for medication dispensing. - Potential floating duties to stepdown, stroke unit, and MedSurg; comfortability with frequent floating during the interview is essential. - Complete 2 days of hospital orientation and one 12-hour shift on the unit. - Work every other weekend and follow a set rotation schedule. - Request up to 7 days of time off with contract extension for any full week off; only one weekend of RTO per contract. - Expected to work 2 out of 3 major holidays; specific blackout dates are in effect. - Adhere to professional standards including no cell phone usage or earbuds in patient care areas and no eating at desks. - Wear pewter-colored scrubs. 26051842EXPTEMP Job Requirements Required for Onboarding ACLS - AHA BLS - AHA PALS - AHA Pharmacology Skills Checklist Specialty Exam 5 Benefits of Travel Nursing A diverse range of assignments on your resume showcases your adaptability, versatility, and resilience.
